Microbiologists giving talks will have 10 min for the talk followed by 5 min of questions. See below for poster instructions. 


Abstract submission is now closed  

The deadline for the submission of abstracts for oral or poster presentations is Friday, October 7, 2022.  Please submit your abstract as a  Word document electronically to Shannon Hinsa-Leasure at ~350 word max. In the email also include:

Also include the type of student you are (graduate or undergraduate), if you would like to give an oral or poster presentation (or be open to both), and which track you your work falls into. 

Preferred Track (select one):

(S1) Applied, Environmental, and Food Microbiology

(S2) Medical, Veterinary, and Cellular Microbiology

The ideal size is 36'' by 46'' (height by length)


We will have an Applied, Environmental, and Food Microbiology track and a Medical, Veterinary, and Cellular Microbiology track for undergraduate and graduate student oral and poster presentations.

Meeting registration closes today 10/17/22


Please note that we are using a camper registration that requires a birthday and gender. We are unable to remove these or change the categories. You can make up a birthday and gender, we are not using this data for anything and apologize for the limitedness of the categories.
